BofA CLI $30k >> $48k >> $80k - Data points provided

Just had a statement cut which brought my util down to 8% and a SP CLI from Citi from $31k to $37,500 all reporting as of yesterday. Decided to pull the trigger online on my BofA CLI which has been at $30k for about 1 year. Asked for $80k in the online form, got the 7-10 day.  I also hapeen to have a $16k balance on this account which will be paid off by June, so I'm over 50% util on this card at the moment. But, I quite often go up to $20k + and then pay off to $0 in lump sum over the past few years with this card.

Credit analyst was very nice, confirmed the income, mortgage, and other info I provided on the CLI request. <mod cut> So, I authorized Equifax. Came back with the pull, all clean with a 771 score and lots of well aged cards / tradelines, actually complimented me on the credit strong profile.

So, she says that she can go ahead and authorize (counter offer) $48k. I said that is nice, but that is not good enough for what I had in mind, taking advantage of their BT offer that they mailed me, and that I need $80k to be safe with utilization. She understood and asked me (oddly) if I am disputing anything on my CR, to which I answered no I am not. Also asked me about investment assets, which I answered honestly. Then she said that my profile supports the requested CLI, and I had to hold for secondary approval from a supervisor. 5 min later came back on the line and said I was approved!!

Obviously I logged in immediately to my BofA account, but it was not updated. After a few more logins, it finally showed up $80k after about 30min. This is my highest line, now just want to get the Chase CSR for about $40k line and I'm good!

Data Points:

Bureau: EQ

Score: 771 (Fico8 from analyst at time of pull)

Inq: 4 prior to pull (2 in last 12mo)

Income: $272k

Baddies: None

Util: 8% (before CLI)

AAoA: 5yr 9mo

Age of this account: 9 years

Current balance on account: $16k

Hate to bump an old thread, but what did AverageJoesCredit mean by "what you did isn't supported here"? Seems like it was a standard CLI request. What am I missing?
