CHASE CLI approved w/ SP

i requested a CLI on my chase freedom MC last night (requested total CL of $10k, up from $6k) - and was approved with SP  

card was opened in Feb 2009 w/ initial CL of $4.6k.

auto CLI to $6k at 2nd statement.

no CLI's since (did not request CLI until last night).

i just checked my EX report that i got through annualcreditreport in Nov 2012, and see that chase SP'd me on 9/21/12, and again on 10/9/12 (the Oct SP would have shown chase that i had just been approved for BofA cash rewards visa siggy on 9/24).

i wonder if they used the Oct 2012 SP to approve my CLI request?

anyway, i'm very happy to have gotten a CLI without a HP (i was afraid i might have to relinquish my silver gardening spade!! but now i get to stay in the garden

EDITED TO ADD: one reason i decided to request a CLI with chase is to have a $10k TL on my credit reports (since my BofA visa siggy does not report my $10k TL)

Wow, congrats. Usually Chase is all for the HP's.

Congrats regardless, but Chase has a sneaky habit of pulling alternate bureaus for CLI requests; I'd double-check the others too before being certain it was only a SP.

Did you go straight out or was this through the exec office?

i use privacy assist to monitor my credit - i received alerts through them within hours in Sept when i apped for the Cash rewards (1 inq) and then separate alerts as each credit bureau reported my new TL (3 alerts).  i've been checking my privacy assist acct every hour today, and no alerts.

i went through secure message to request the CLI.  The rep asked for my income and my desired total CL, and i received approval - all via secure message.

Congratulations on the CLI!  Hopefully it was indeed a SP.  I'll have to remember to use the secure message feature to request a CLI on my Freedom at some point in the distant future.  Thanks for sharing!

Congrats! I took a hp on Nov for a cli on my freedom. I wonder if i send a message online requesting an cli via sp it would be possible.
Keep checking your reports to see if a hp shows up or not. Hopefully not. Congrats!
