Hi all,
Just thought I'd share the nice surprise I received from my friends at Citi. Today I got this email saying that I migh be ellegible for a CLI on my account without a hard inquiry, so with anything to lose, I followed the link they provided in the email. Asked tu update income, etc, and hit submit...gor instantly bumped from $14,130 to $18,000. My highest limit so far!
Thanks Citi for making my day! loved it!
Wow, congrats. I have been stck for years at $5k. Nice

Sweet bump! What is your utilization like on that card? How long has it been open?
Thanks guys! Balance on that card is $0, and it's been like that for aprox. 5 months, had the card since 2010, this being my second CLI. They gave me an initial CL of $8,700, increased to 14,300 a year later and now this.
My total util. right now stands around 25%.
Wow, very nice CL. Congrats!

Congrats! I dont understand how some people
Have great experiences w Citi and then others, like me, have horrible experiences.
Do they offer you BTs often?
Yes! and that's one of the resasons I opened this card because they offer any kind of VERY attractive 0% BT offers. Been working on decreasing my total UT for some time this way, and it's working good.
Thanks all. I'm very proud of how I've managed to get here, with the help of this forum, and some other resources. My credit file is "relatively" new, just turned 10 years this year since I opened my very first Goldsmith's card with $200 CL in 2003.
I came to this country as a Permanent Resident in 2001 and strugled a couple of years to obtain ANY kind of credit, since "I didn't exist" but with dedication and smart decisions you can really accomplish a lot of things in this wonderful Country. I got sworn in as an American Citizen in March last year, and I'm now proud to be an American!
