Just applied and approved for CSP for 10k CL! My highest CL is AMEX 10,500, so I really believe Chase likes to match or almost match your highest CL. My 10,500 AMEX was recently CLI'd to 12,400 so I wonder if maybe my CSP would have been higher had I waited a bit, but thats okay! Another example of Chase CL matching is back in March, I was approved for their IHG card for 5,900. At the time, my highest TL was 5,800.
Thanks so much to these forums. I've opened 36k in CLs this year and I think my wallet is complete!
Congrats to your continued success

Our situations are similar. When I received my Chase Sapphire card (not Preferred), I received a $10K CL, not too far from my (then) highest CL which was $12.5K for my Amex BCE card. Shortly thereafter, my Amex was increased (6 month X3 CLI) to $24K. I, too, wonder if my Chase CL might have been higher if I waited a bit?
Anyways, enjoy your new CSP card which still has a great initial CL!
I don't think that would have helped you when I was approved for csp my highest cl was 1700 and they gave me 12k. Everything else about my profile was average/below average.
Congrats!
