@MrCollector wrote:Well this was completely unexpected. I've had a great run over the last three weeks, picking up all but one of my cards in that span (longer version http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Recon-chances-with-Citi-and-Capital-One/td-p/3027802). I asked the wise people of this great forum if I should apply for another card (http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Credit-Cards/Recon-chances-with-Citi-and-Capital-One/td-p/3027802), and gardening was the unanimous answer, and I was in agreement with that.
Today, I decided to payoff and close my Cap 1 QuicksilverOne (which I just got PC'd to last week), as the APR was astronomical and I would never use given my new options, all of which have no APR currently. I told myself I would apply for one card to replace it. I decided to go big or go home, and applied for the CSP, since I already have the Freedom with Chase, and didn't want to add another bank to my list.
To my shocking surprise, I was instantly approved with a 5K limit. Never in a million years did I think I would get approved, especially with it being the seventh card I applied for this month.
Baffled and elated.
Congrats on your approval
