I was shocked about six weeks ago when I noticed that Capital One raised my CL from $3400 to $8400 automatically. I guess I am in decent graces with them at the moment. I was just wonder if anyone has experience with how often they give automatic increases or what criteria. I am also wondering if on the heals of this automatic increase means that I cannot request one? Do they require a certain number of months after an auto increase before a request can be put in?
Thanks to all!
What I was told by the Cap1 EO last fall was that I would need to wait 6 months before I could ask for another increase. Its been 8 months and they've turned me down 3 times. So, hard to say.

Great CLI, typically its 6 months between CLIs unless you go thru the EO.
Congrats on auto-LUV!
AFAIK, you wouldn't be able to request another CLI for 6 months using the LUV button (As for an EO-initiated CLI, YMMV).
congrats
Nice, Congrats...
After reading all these posts about CLI,s I decided to try it but only if it were a soft pull.
My card was a credit steps card, started out at $300, after the 5 month step, they raised it $1500 to total $1800.
Eleven months later to today, I called the automated system, (after much reading and emails to social@capitalone to make sure it was a soft pull) and was approved for $3000 cli to total $4800.
Its my only card so now I pass the $2000 mark for my score to increase as well, Im very happy! I would have done this much sooner but was afraid it was a hard pull. I have alerts on all 3 CRA's and no alert came up yet for this. Yay
Thanks to everyone for their stories, they sure helped me!
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.

What is the automated system and what's the phone number. I always thought you had to speak to someone to get a CLI?

Nice increase! Congrats. Can you share how much usage you put on the card?
