No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Inspired by others on this board I sent an email to the executive offices of Capital 1.
I outlined my history with the card (2 year history, 2 auto CLIs but nothing in over a year) and explained how it no longer fits my credit profile (other cards have much higher limits, etc.)
I asked for the credit line to be increased to $7,500 (from $1,750) and that the annual fee be waived.
Two days later I received a call from their offices and after verifying information (home, income, length of time at job) I was told that they would get back to me in about a week with an answer after they do a soft pull and review the file.
Only two short days later I was called back and told that my request to increase the credit limit to $7,500.00 was APPROVED and my request to waive the annual fee was also APPROVED.
SUCCESS!!
Congrats you hit the bullseye
Can you guys please PM me the capita one executive office mail please. Thanks
Awesome!! Congrats!!!
Nice CLI!!!! I still havent got to email them but the more i hear success stories the sooner i think i will do it! Just wanna wait for the new limit on my WF secured card to report (the highest out of all my CC at the moment excet for being AU on Chase with a 6000 limit).
In a few months, get that CL raised again and at roughly the 10k mark, you can attempt to get it PC through regular CSR.
I'm absolutely going to give this a shot once my new cards start reporting. Nice to hear another success story. Congratulations!!
Mind giving me the Cap 1 email as well, may try a good will letter there if I can't find another one to use.
Would someone also send me the correct email to use to contact Cap 1 also?
Please and thank you.
awesome! Which Cap One card do you have?
