Capital One CLI

I am pretty excited as the for the first time ever, Capital One (platinum card) approved my request for CLI online. They increased it from $5000 to $8000.

I had a balance of about $3000 and paid it off recently.  May be that is the reason why it went through this time.

I am just curious. Can I call them to see if they can change my card from platinum master card to something better like Quicksilver ? Does Capital One entertain such requests without a HP?  I have been a customer of them for about 5 years or so now.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Capital One CLI

Nice! Yes they should definitely do a product change to the Quicksilver or Venture. That's a nice limit though! Congrats!

Re: Capital One CLI

Congrats on your CLI!

Yes, in most cases you can convert your card to a diffrent one. I did that several times.

For some reason Capitol one is not approving my CLI lately. I have a little over 30K with them on 3 cards. Maybe I should pay off the balance in full and give them a break for a month.
