I decided to log into my capital one accounts and see if I could get credit line increases. Capital one has been good to me in the past, giving me credit when I couldn't get it elsewhere. Here are my results
1. 1000 to 1500 quicksilver one
2. 1000 to 1500 quicksilver one
3. 500 to 2500 platinum and did a product change to quicksilver one. This surprised me because I had always been rejected on CLI before
4. 600 to 3600 platinum and did a product change to quicksilver one. This surprised me because I had always been rejected on CLI before
I still have one card at 500.00 limit that I cannot get an increase on, it was an old card that was transferred from another company to cap one. Does anyone know why they wont CLI this card?
I have built my credit up and don't really need these cards but they really help my utilization, having been increased by $6000.00 in less than 5 minutes.
It has taken a long time, almost 3 years of plugging along down the credit road, but now with increased limits, and having added AE and Chase to my wallet in the past 6 months. I feel like I am heading towards the right direction.
I owe it all to My fico!
Very Nice Increases.. Congrats.. Very nice work getting them limits.
In regards to the other card have you tried the EO to get an increase on that one.

Congrats on your CLI,s
The account that has a 500.00 balance was an old orchard bank visa, don't know if it is eligible for increase. Thought I read somewhere in forum that the old orchard cards were not able to receive increases. I will contact EO and see if they increase the limit. Thanks for the helpful tip.
Your most welcome. They might offer you a product change and increase, I know when i talked to them about the regular plat. card they first said i was eligible for a product change and asked if i was interested i said yes so they changed to the quick silver. then he put me in for an increase which i asked for twice as much as i wanted cause i knew they would counter offer me and they did . but increase took me from 500 to 3k.
Good luck i had nothing but good experience with the EO
Capital one has become much better within the last year! Prior to that the majority of people on here were enrolled in credit steps with no card growth opportunity at all! Glad to see you received some good CLI's! Good luck
Congrats WTG
WTG Congrats on your CLIs!!! I have always liked Cap1, despite others who had bad experiences with them. I also think that they've been pretty generous w/ their CLIs within the past year.
Enjoy
