Chase Authorized user question.

Hi

I have been an authorized user on my DH Slate card for about 5 mo.   I applied and received a chase SW and Chase disney premier rewards card. After gardening for the next six months I would like to apply for a chase freedom. My question is should I have myself taken off the authorized user account? Will it hurt my chances of receiving my 3rd chase card if I am left on the slate card? Also, does anyone know how many chase cards you can have?

Thanks,  Traveler

Re: Chase Authorized user question.

It would not hurt you if you apply since you are only an AU on his card.

But it would hurt you if denied due to the maximum open line of credit currently allowed with Chase. If denied they could ask you to move some credit line to over to the card you want.

Re: Chase Authorized user question.

If you applied for a third card do you think they would count the AU card?

Re: Chase Authorized user question.

I dont think so. I just asked a banker yesterday about increase CL on my freedom, i told him will being on another freedom as AU affects my chance of getting approved. He said no because you dont responsible for the chase that u are AU.same principle apply for getting a new chase. I plan on applying for Chase SW next year.

Re: Chase Authorized user question.

Also Chase might not let remove an AU if this one was added at the time the app was submitted and the AU is your DW or DH... At least thats what i read on the CC agreement.
