x2 im at 1k now, and waiting till i have my 5k report for a year plus all my inquries will be 1.5 years old+ and start to be falling off.

nice otherwise I would just apply for another card, Chase is much easier to approve a new card than a CLI, then you combine your credit limits =) saves a lot of headaches since a CLI takes a hardpull anyways
i got the united for prioty bording and free bag. i got 50k miles for spending $1k
I dunno funny thing is I always got a free bag with every flight I had with United so I dunno.... but yea the bonus is good, once you get the bonus just transfer your limit to your freedom imo =)
You get a free bag if you fly internationally, but domestic is $25/first, $35/2nd. Unless you have elite status, which you didn't mention. If you have elite status, there is no value to the United card. But if you don't (and esp if you have a family), a free bag for you and partner each way is $100 in savings per flight and the priority boarding is very helpful when traveling with children or on smaller aircraft where the bins fill up faster.
