Chase Freedom CLI

I'm just starting out with my credit cards, but through my reading I came across some people mentioning that Chase will sometimes increase their credit line to match credit lines of other cards that may be owned by the user. I applied for a cap 1 Venture and got a 5k limit. Before that card posted to my credit report I applied for a chase freedom and receieved a 3k limit. Once chase sees the credit line on my venture will they likely increase the freedom credit line to match (assuming that I have perfect history)? If so, would that happen early on or after 6 months or more of use?

Re: Chase Freedom CLI

They most likely wont give you a CLI because other cards of yours have increased, not at least without a request from you and that means a HP, wait 6 months see if there has been any auto-cli then make up your decision on where you want to be.

Re: Chase Freedom CLI

That would be nice but they haven't matched my 5 digit limit yet.

Re: Chase Freedom CLI

Use the card well for a few months and see if you get any auto CLI, if not u can always ask for one though it will be a HP

Re: Chase Freedom CLI

I wish it were true. I got one auto cli on my freedom and it went from 500.00 to 1000.00. My highest limit at the time was 7200.00

Likely not, unless you request a HP CLI.

Re: Chase Freedom CLI

Chase is not good with clis without a request from you and a hp of your credit report.
In the 5-6 years, I've had a Platinum (initial $2500) a Slate(initial $400), and a Freedom(initial $5000) And only one card got an auto cli of $300 one year in.
Good luck!

Re: Chase Freedom CLI

I recieved a $200 auto on my freedom and a $2500 auto on my CSP.  I think it's realtive on your spending habits, then again, I've pushed much more money through my freedom than CSP and yet I got a measly bump.  I dont' understand their logic but I'll take what I can get.  Fortunately I've been able to open a United card and move some of that limit over to the freedom as it is my daily swiper.  I plan to ask for an increase on the freedom in October to a rounded 10k.

Re: Chase Freedom CLI

I have received 2 Auto CLIs on my Freedom card in the last 9 months, none of them anywhere near my high limits (2500-->3000-->3700).  They are still my lowest limit to date
