Chase Freedom "automatic" CLI 5 months after opening the account

I was pleasantly surprised to log on to my Chase Freedom account today and find a 58% CLI! I asked why I received the increase and the answer was simply that I was "eligible." No hard pull. Not bad! Not bad at all.

Nice!  What was your CL prior to the increase?

Congrats. I have found Chase to be pretty good about SP auto-CLIs in the last 7 months that I have been a member.

More importantly though, you have made some serious improvements in your scores in the last year! Hoping/thinking mine will all be above 720 February(ish).

If you wouldn't mind, what has your general spending profile and pay habits been since opening?  I have a new Freedom and would like to position for maximum chance of a SP CLI.

Not sure if this was directed at me or the OP, but I spent a couple hundred on my Amazon.com Rewards each month and PIF. I might have let a balance report 1-2 times, but paid it off shortly afterwards. Same for my CSP. Regular use and PIF before the closing date most of the time. I did let a $3k and $7k balance report in about my 3rd and 5th month ($9.2k starting limit IIRC), and it is up to $12.5k now by auto-CLI.

Re: Chase Freedom "automatic" CLI 5 months after opening the account

I've spent anywhere from 10% - 60% of my limit and PIFd every month. I let anywhere from a 10 - 20% balance report (not on purpose) a few times. I have substantially higher credit limits on both of my other cards (BCP, and a Citi card that I use for 2 recurring small charges each month).

Nothing to scoff at there - nice work. What was your original CL? I'm hoping I don't have to wait 5 months.
