Some of you might have already seen my post in the Applications thread where I applied for Chase Marriott last Friday (Apr-15) and got a 30 day message on phone. I just got off of the phone with Chase's verificaton dept and my new card is already showing up. Got a 16K SL.
Special thanks for Kiki901 who suggested a nice trick to get the decision sooner than later. I am quoting that message right below.
Data pointers: Pulled EX and TU, both are around 710. Stated Income: 148K. No Chase cards prior to this one. AAoA: 4 yrs 11 months.
After the approval I got transferred to their Customer Service dept to have the card expedited and found something new that I haven't read on this forum yet. As per him, all partner credit cards go through partner verification and duration of this verification varies. In case of Marriott, it's anywhere from 7-11 days. He submitted a request to have the card overnighted once partner verfication is done.

So people say it's best to NOT call...but that wasn't the case for me, so here is what I did.
I applied for the Marriott card as well and got the 30 day message. I was planning a few trips within the next month so I wanted my card ASAP. I called the verification department directly @ 877-470-9042. I told them I was attempting to check the status of my app and it transferred me to that department.
If it's held up for verification, they will text you a code to verify, which means most likely you will be approved.
If not, they will transfer you to the consumer lending team (I was transferred there when I was denied for the freedom card.)
If they say they are transferring you, I would hand up and then wait it out.
Congratulations, ibmrad, I know you have been waiting for this approval!
When it's a cobranded Chase card (i.e., Hyatt, Marriott), if you don't currently have a Hyatt or Marriott account, it also takes time to generate a hotel account number for you and get that through the system. That's another factor.

Thanks humuhumunukunukuapuaa. I was hoping to see your message here :-)
I do have marriott # and I filled that in while applying. Hopefully that'll speed up the process a little bit.
Congratualtions!
Thanks MusicLover
Congrats! Great card and limit.
