I actually just received an email from them with the same offer.  Tried to click on the link provided in the email just for fun, but they recognized that I already took the CLI and said the offer is no longer available.  Oh well.  Ha!  

Be on the lookout for an email...  Maybe others will start getting them.  They have to know Discover is offering the double cash back promo and maybe they are looking to try to compete and get people to put more spend on their cards.

uecker4life - great story! Congrats! Sounds familiar. Started with Providian to WAMU then to Chase with the Chase Flexible Rewards Visa Card. Stayed that way from 2005 to 2013 when I got Chase to convert to a Chase Freedom Master Card (required a hard pull).

I hope I'll be getting a letter too. My Freedom is my only card gotten I've gotten in the past two years that has yet to give me a CLI. Fingers crossed.

Congrats. and YIKES!!! you let it sit at 95% for 7 years. i can't imagine the amount of interest you paid on that 5k. maybe double the balance in that amount of time. wow. they should not only give you a cli. they should send you a box of chocolate and roses in the mail. as the best customer ever.

Congrat on the CLI! What a great, easy way to get an increase.  Now I bet that all Freedom holders are running to double check their inbox, spam and any mail possibly overlooked...
