So Ive had my eye on this card for months and didnt plan on applying for it for another 6 months or so, but I knew basically all there needs to know about it. From my understanding the AF is usually $95 so I didnt bother to check the details last night when I got the urge to apply way earlier than expected. Good news is I got approved! ($5,000 CL, AF waived the first year and the 40,000 pts plus 5,000 with an added AU) but it wasnt until after I got approved when I went back to scope out what I got that I noticed the AF said after the first year I will be paying $149 instead of the normal $95. What gives? Im not %100 certain of this quite yet as I havent gotten my card or welcome packet mailed yet, but seriously? Not fair. I know its only $54 more and its not that big of a deal but I feel like I got jipped. Any ideas as to why last night it said $149 and then when I looked this morning it was back to $95 and as of now back up to $149 on Chase's application page???? Any help would be great, and thanks

There have been a few threads already talking about the different AFs. I think you will find all the info you need on those threads.
What makes me more irritated is that when I go through this site myfico.com or creditcards.com or creditkarma they take me to the chase link that says AF of $95 as where when I go directly to the Chase website it still says $149?! I hope I got the one for $95
Thank you, im going to do some research about it
So when I go to chase.com it says an AF of $149, but when I log into my chase account and then go to the application for Saphire it says $95... So possibly if im a Chase member I get the old $95 AF. So there may be luck for me still!!!! Now I just have to wait for my card to come in and find out
Thats the one I just read lol Thanks for the advice, after reading some of the posts in that thread I put two and two together and tried it for myself. I went to chase.com and it says AF of $149, but after I logged into my account I went back to the app page and it says $95. I hope they gave me the $95 AF

I believe there are 3 different AFs for the CSP ($95,$125 & $149), it depends on which link you use when you app. Some had mentioned using different browsers brings up a different AFs and yesterday I had to use Chrome to app because on IE kept getting $149 as well. I hope you didn't get the $149 AF!

I hope so also. Good luck! You have to put a lot through the CSP to make a $149 AF worth it.
For me, the $149 version was what popped up first on the site. Then I logged into my account, logged right back out, and refreshed the lander page. That produced the $95 annual fee, which is when I applied.
Yeah, it sucks. Maybe you can call in and try to get the lower fee?
