Oh Chase Sapphire Preferred... I have been dreaming of having your sleek metal in my wallet for quite some time now. Today, my planning has finally paid off! My increased CL for my only card posted to the last of all 3 reports today (TU of course) and my util plummeted to 4%. Chase prequalification tool finally showed CSP as an "offer", so I took the plunge. I got approved for 14k and I am absolutely ecstatic!
EDIT I decided not to stop there, though. After my CSP approval, I went for the Chase Freedom to get the combination bonus deals and I was approved for that, too! 7k limit. Don't think I could be much happier.
Stats for anyone researching CSP / Freedom approvals:
Only 1 prior credit card NFCU nRewards $7500 limit
Util 4% showing on all 3 CR
3 student loans, 1 mortgage, and 1 auto loan all with fairly high LTV ratios
FICO all 3 appx 735
No baddies at all on any CR

Yup. Gonna call and ask them to overnight both cards. Our son's in daycare. That'll take care of nearly all the $4500. Everything else can be gas / groceries / general spending. Not to mention, we're going away for my sister's wedding and that'll be plenty of travel $ and points. No problem there at all
