Re: Citi Pre-Qual Question

Well, I'm still stuck on the preverbal fence, but maybe there is a simple answer.

What if:

I went ahead and applied for a NASA CC (I belong to NASA CU already), then contacted Citi and asked that my AmAir Advantage Platinum Select be switched over to a Diamond Preferred to lower the interest?

If NASA only did a SP, then all I would see is one new NASA CC and its CL on my CR.

I checked and my AAoA wouldn’t take much of a hit if I did this,  7.9 to 7.6

It would only take until June of this year to recoup the AAoA drop.

Still thinking....

Re: Citi Pre-Qual Question

A couple of glasses of wine later and ....Done.

Got the "Under Review, will contact you by email" message from NASA.

I did add in a  couple of small B.T.'s (total about $3k), so maybe that triggered it.

Already scanned up a few of my last paystubs and two years of Tax returns to PDF, just in case they ask.

Will see what happens next.....

Let us know the outcome.... Sure it will be approved, whether a HP or SP unknown as your were an existing member, didn't know this.  One pull isn't going to kill yours scores thoughSmiley Happy  GL!

Re: Citi Pre-Qual Question

NASA Approved. So far, no HP showing anywhere.

I'm still thinking about the Citi AAdvantage -> Diamond Preferred swap.

That 11.99% interest and no AF looks much nicer than the 15.24% and $95 AF I get dinged with their AmAir card....
