Re: Credit Line Increase

People usually spend a lot more during Christmas. If you have a higher credit line you are more likely to spend more. The banks want you to spend a lot of money and pay them interest.

Do you know if I can try this with Discover, too? 61 days really?

Re: Credit Line Increase

I have been tempted to apply for the walmart card in store during the holiday season, hoping for a high starting CL. If not, the card grows nicely. Smiley Happy

Re: Credit Line Increase

With Amex, only the initial credit line can be increased after 61 days, then any approved cli after will require a six month period.

Nah, Discover is a stickler, no cli for at least six months-absolutely no way around it lol!

Re: Credit Line Increase

I received a Discover auto CLI after my 4th statement cut.... Went from 5k to 6.5k

No idea what triggered it, but apparently I did something right. :-)
