Would like to share my recent experience with discover with you guys, yesterday I applied for the
discover IT card and was instant approval, but no CL. So today I call and spoke with
an account mgr, and she pleasantly info me that my starting was 8k..Nice.
The only drawback was they pulled my EQ score which is the lowest and has plenty of inq's
already. EQ 677 INQ's 7. I was hoping they would pull my TU 08 735 and 1 inq.
well hope this help anyone on the fence.

ForMyBiz do you mind sharing your experience? Planning to app for this card in the next day or so, just as soon as Comenity updates my CR.
I applied in Aug while on a spree and got denied due to 1 upnpaid collection, 10 180 lates from student loans. They offered approval if I could find a co-applicant, which I didn't want to do.
AAoA according to CK is 11 mo, but I don't agree with this because I don't think it takes into account my installment accounts that date back.
Got the collection removed a couple of months ago, so baddies are just the 180 day lates from my now consolidated/paid student loan
INQs - ALOT, but around 10 that are less than 6 months old
and you can check out score and UTL in my sig.
I did get a pending application notification, but it also asked me to create an account, so I took that as a good sign. I called in and spoke to an analyst that asked me:
1) what I like about Discover IT - Told her I like the rotating 5% + online shopping portal + virtual credit card option
2) about the student loan lates - explained those and showed that they were caught up now
3) about all the new accounts/INQs in Aug (apping for mortgage in 2015 and wanted to group new accounts/inquires together)
and then she approved me for $1500 (which was actually higher than I expected TBH.)
I can definitely see why everyone raves about their CS, I talked with 2 people (frontline rep + CA) and they were both very nice.
OH and they pulled EX and EQ for me.

Thank you. Wow.. They pulled EX and EQ ? OP do you know which report(s) they pulled for you?
I have pretty much the same things on both; about 6 Inqs and 1 unpaid medical collection which I have been unsuccessful in reaching the CA for; but hoping this can be explained in recon if nothing else.
