I've been asking for a CLI since Feb (last CLI was Nov '16) to no avail. The responce was always "too little experience at current credit line" or something to that effect. Yesterday I opened an email from them saying that they auto CLI'd the account from $5K>$8K. Finally some movement! I have only my cable bill flowing through this account, and it get's paid in full so I was assuming that the usage was the issue. Glad to see that I got some traction. 
3k auto is a great increase. Usage may play a part, your profile may a part , or it just might be everything gets decided when the csr's arrive to the office and flip a juju bee in the air to see what side it lands on

If you go online immediately and request another CLI, there's a 50/50 chance you can get in on the DDD (Discover Double Dip) where you'll get another instant CLI. Give it a shot and report back!
