Exciting Auto CLI with Capital One

I've read so many posts about Capital One not beeing so generous with CLi's. It was my first rebuilding card and I opened it with a $300 limit in October of last year (6 months ago).  I was very happy to have it.  Recently I was basking in getting a few more cards including a $5500 credit union Mastercard.  At the same time, I was sitting around thinking about that $300 Cap One card.  For whatever reason, I logged into my account and thought I was seeing things.  I had somewhere around 3200 in available credit. They upped my Cl by $3000 dollars!

Can't tell you how happy this made me.  So don't give up on Capitlal One yet as far as CLI's go.  Smiley Happy

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: Exciting Auto CLI with Capital One

It once again sounds like a "credit steps" increase, which is very common at the 6 month mark among posters here. Recently, there have been more reports of larger Credit Steps CLIs.

Check the documents section of your online account and see if there is a document referring to this increase from when our account was open. This has frequently been reported to be the last CLI that posters receive - but I hope this is different for you, just don't count too much on it.

In My Wallet: Amex BCP (12/12) $50,000, Chase Freedom (12/12) $16,500, Cap1 Quicksilver (6/12) $14,000, Barclaycard Rewards (5/13) $10,500, Citi Prestige (4/16) $30,000

Re: Exciting Auto CLI with Capital One

ahhh! I can only hope mine gets a nice CLI after my credit steps... I did receive documents with my new card about credit steps and it said after 6 months of on time payments they will give you a CLI which is called credit steps. idk what happens afterwards. from what I've read thats the end of it...
