I love FNBO more and more all the time!! I got a preapproval in the mail for their Amex card last year and was approved when I app'd online. They had given me my highest credit limit at the time 3500.00. I called a while back to see when I would be able to get a cli and they told me to call between the 4-6 month mark and see if they had any preapproved cli's in their system for me. I called in this morning and I had one! They gave me an increase of 2500.00 to make my new limit 6000.00!! Now my new highest limit! There was no pull at all. I think they are really great and the csr that I spoke with was the nicest person ever!!
Congrats! I love FNBO as well. They've been good to me.
Add me to the FNBO love club. They are fantastic! They are also my highest CL at $19,000!
SP CLI's every 4 months, and they are usually pretty big increases, are awesome!
Does anyone know if they are willing to lower APR upon request? I could care less about credit limits but I don't want to app for a useless card that earns lower rewards and has a 14.9 APR. They are sending me big fancy pre-approvals about once a week but I toss the in the shredder when I see 14.99 APR.
Congratulations!
Mine is 14.99% and whenever I call to ask them to lower it, they offer me a promotional APR reduction, usually like 1.99% APR for 6-9 months.
Nothing permanent.
But the good thing about FNBO in my opinion are the balance transfer checks they send out usually every month. 3.99-8.99% fixed for life with no BT fee. I've used those so many times.
I'm so glad to see others here loving FNBO. You don't see much about them on these boards. I never knew who they were until I got a preapproval in the mail from them which I could not resist. It was so fancy looking!!

I still have the 0% interest thru October of this year so I have not asked about it yet. I have never gotten any of the balance transfer checks in the mail. Maybe I have to have the account alittle longer? The only checks I get in the mail are monthly from Discover.
I am originally from Omaha and they are a very big and well known bank around here. I also have a savings account through their online banking brand FNBO Direct.
About the checks, you may start to get them once your promotional interest ends. They are great offers usually. I used them to pay off my car loan once

I hadn't heard of them either and didn't expect much since applications are manually reviewed. They gave me a high limit though and they seem pretty good so far. I just wish you could add the card on the FNBO Direct side, since I can't open a First National Bank of Omaha regular chequing account.
