FNBO loves sending balance transfer checks, probably even more than Bank of America does. I think that Discover's current advertisements talking about how they won't try to sell you something are poking a little fun at how BoA wants to sell balance transfers if you call customer service for anything.

Called 5/3 today.  Application is actually pending and not approved.  I'm thinking they'll come back with I am sufficiently obligated with 5/3 with the amount of credit that I have.

APR reduction was not so easy as suggested. Didn't get one

Think it would help to call another time and try again with someone different?

Sorry to hear CM7.  They're kind of rigid so I don't think calling again is going to help, but who knows it's worth a shot.

Even toward their call staff too apparently. Seen my new 5/3 approval but it wouldn't show him the APR

I never carry an interest bearing balance on mine but 19.99% is a little stiff.

Hope that the new one is easier to swallow.

Maybe if you have a promotional APR they can't see it until after that but you should see it in the approval paperwork
