It's strange, in 3-4 years they've never sent me BT checks. FNBO is a whole different story.
FNBO loves sending balance transfer checks, probably even more than Bank of America does. I think that Discover's current advertisements talking about how they won't try to sell you something are poking a little fun at how BoA wants to sell balance transfers if you call customer service for anything.
Congrats on the 5/3 Preferred Approval!
Called 5/3 today. Application is actually pending and not approved. I'm thinking they'll come back with I am sufficiently obligated with 5/3 with the amount of credit that I have.
Called 5/3 today too.

I hear you on the rigid part.
Even toward their call staff too apparently. Seen my new 5/3 approval but it wouldn't show him the APR

I never carry an interest bearing balance on mine but 19.99% is a little stiff.
Hope that the new one is easier to swallow.
