I finally got a $200 auto increase from Discover. New credit line $1200.
Something is better than nothing.
For those that want to know, my line reached 6 months about three weeks ago and they declined my credit line increase through the automated system. At that time my utilization was around 35%. So, I said bump it. I maxed it out. My utilization is about 65% now, but I have also paid them over $1000 since my last statement cut through weekly payments.
So I get my credit increase on the 7th statement -not the 6th- with 65% util in tow.
Who would have thought???
Congrats! I just got an increase myself today.
Good luck!

Congrats! I wish Discover would show me a little bit of luv. No luck yet.
Your year anny is coming up too fingers crossed for ya!!!
Man, that sucks!
Since the running joke is that I don't cook, Discover has taken my AMEX business this quarter due to the 5% for restaurants category. Just spent $55 on pizza last night. (don't judge)
Also, since another poster was so kind to point out that I can use ShopDiscover and pay another way, I have been using ShopDiscover to the fullest extent.
So who knows what made them change their mind. They must have realized I'm getting ready to pay them off and put them in the SD until Summer Fun time.
Very strange.
Congrats!
I only had my Discover for two months and I was wondering how much did you put through the card in the 7 months time you had it? Thanks!
eviLution I used it for school lunches and trips to the craft store for the first five months. I always kept a balance and paid way more than the min payment. Amex got all of the holiday action. When Jan hit, I started using it for all of my restaurant expenses for breakfast, lunch and sometimes dinner.
Since my last statement, I have made $565 in purchases and paid $160. In Jan, I ran $351 through it took a cash advance of $100 and paid $750. The cycle before, I paid $250 and only charged $70. Hope this helps!
