Finally got a SP CLI from Discover

I've had my Discover IT for about 18 months and after trying many many times I was finally able to get a SP increase of $1000 for a total CL of $5500.

I used the card a lot for the first 12 months or so since it was one of my first rewards card but I don't use it much anymore except for some of the 5% cats.

i think they are too conservative for their own good when it comes to credit limits. I spent around $30,000 on the card last year, mostly PIF even though it was at 0%.

I have 5 cards with 25k limits and 12 with 10k. Don't really see myself using this card much at all in the future.

The first year with Discover can be trying, for me they randomly gave me $250 within 3 months of having the card...yes it wasn't much but it didn't cost me a pull, I wasn't willing to take a HP during the first year.

Wow I just tried as well and got a 1k Bump to $4400. I have never gotten a sp cli with discover so thanks op and grats.

My Discover is 2 yrs old..went like this...$1675 to $5k HP, $5k to $12.9k HP, $12.9k to $4.7k CLD, $4.7k to $5.7k SP.

I tried it before my statement and then after my statement and no go. I tried again after my payment because I forgot to pay on statement date and once it was processed the CLI came available.

I just tried this on my DW's discover and had another successful SP CLI. this is days after payment and statement so it looks like discover is giving out SP cli's left and right.
