I took CA's advice - fought tooth and nail to get my EQ over 600 and waited for quarterly AR and applied for CLI today. I have been with Navy since May and never could get a CLI. Tried this morning and was down in the dumps because I got the usual 3-5 message instead of the approval/counter message that I see so many of you talk about. I logged in just now to pay my bill, and saw my CL increased from $500 to $1000.
A small bright spot in my blight of credit issues. Progress is progress though, even though lately it has felt like one step forward, two steps back.
Calvary is suing me for an old Orchard debt that was scheduled to fall off my CRs in May of this year. I hadn't tackled it and it turned around and bit me in the butt. A $424 debt snowballed to $1470. I was able to talk the attny's office down to half, but I have to pay $735 within 30 days or they continue with the court case. The credit department at Navy probably has no idea, but they made this chick's day.
Congratulations on the cli from Navy!
Hope you get the Orchard issue resolved quickly. However, I am curious as to know what your state's SOL is for credit card debt?
Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!
congrats
