I didn't get an immediate decision from Barclays, but I called the credit analyst (who was amazingly enough available on Sunday of Memorial Day weekend), who approved me. He had a great attitude with me. He said, "Let's see what we can do to get you approved." Then 10 seconds later, he approved me, no questions. Then I applied for the Slate, since I may need a backup plan for my honeymoon to avoid interest charges in case I can't pay in full. Then, I called up Sapphire and asked for a 10K increase from 5k. Approved.
I have one baddie from March 2012. Those were dark days, before I knew about credit or myfico.
