GE CLI on my Paypal Extras MC!

Was $3k initial.  Called in just now since my 4th statement cut.  Now it's $5k!

I wonder if I should have asked for more, but I didn't know the "rules" of GE CLI's and how much to ask for so I played it safe.  Not bad, considering I've only put less than $100 on the card since I app'd for it back in January of this year.  Well worth the soft pull.

I tell ya, these things weren't happening for me this time last year. Smiley Happy

Re: GE CLI on my Paypal Extras MC!

How does GE's CLI's work?  What are the request limits?  3X CLI? 6X?  I guess I should have asked about these rules before playing the game Smiley Happy.

Re: GE CLI on my Paypal Extras MC!

I don't think there's a set amount, but it's every four months you can ask for a bump, like clockwork.

AmEx PRG (NPSL) | AmEx Costco ($8.2K) | AmEx Delta Gold ($19.3K) | AmEx BCE ($5K) | Chase United Explorer ($10K) | Chase Sapphire Preferred ($7.5K) | Chase Freedom ($8.2K) | Discover it ($3K) | Capital One Quicksilver ($2.5K) | PayPal Extras ($2.5K) | Lowes ($3.3K) | Walmart ($4.3K) | Amazon ($2.5K) | Restoration Hardware ($8.8K) | Crate & Barrel ($8.3K)

Re: GE CLI on my Paypal Extras MC!

I see.  I'll be too scared to ask for $15k, but I'll give it a go in 4 months.  October just happens to be when I "work" my Chase Freedom and AMEX BCE cards for higher limits, so that's one less thing to remember.

Re: GE CLI on my Paypal Extras MC!

OP, what was your typical utilization, and balance posting percentage per statement? I just got this card, and want it to be the doorway into the 20k zone.

Like, I stated, I barely used the card.  I've had it since January, and I put under $100 on it.  Probably why I'm just now getting my 4th statement, because there were a couple of months I didn't get one as I didn't use it.  My last statement was $5.  March was $78.  January I put on $10.

Re: GE CLI on my Paypal Extras MC!

I owe $1300/$25000. I typically revolve a small balance, but the rewards are decent. I'd say use <30% of the limit, try to pif... And ask for $5k cli every 3-4 months.
Call Credit Solutions ;-) after 7pm or on the weekend :-)
Good luck! Haha

CONGRATS!!! Smiley Happy

I would take it slow on requesting high amounts. Go for 8K in 4 months.
