Got approved for AMEX SPG 30k with 9500 limit

Well I was really surprised at how AMEX gave credit limit. I am only a student and of course not much income. Besides, I only have 11 month of credit history. Would not be surprised even if they rejected me...

Current Cards: BOA Better Rewards (2.5k), Citi Forward (2k), AMEX Blue Cash Preferred (6k), AMEX SPG (7.5k), DISCOVER (1k), Chase Freedom (7k).

Sure. I am a full time PhD student. The tuition plus stipend is 60000 and I filled in 80000. If asked, I would say my parents support me a little bit.

Hmm... Really interesting! Last time when I applied for BCP I filled in $60000 and only get 2000. Could someone on this board explain a little bit about how AMEX gave credit line?

Congrats! That's a nice starting CL. If you don't mind me asking, how long after you got the 3xCLI on BCP did you apply for SPG?

Thanks!

Sure. I started my first card last September (2012) and got my citi forward this Feburary. In May I get my BCP. I applied for 3x CLI on July 5th or 6th and succeeded. Yesterday I applied for SPG. Guess I will do my next CLI next January =).

Yeah that's what I do. Well I am afraid of financial review, but I always pay on time (actually much before statement closes) and there should not be FR anyway.
