Eh! I`m still skeptical. Even Pavlov and his followers realised you have to give away a treat here and there to keep the subject(s) of the experiment interested in continued participation. 
You have a great point, lajntx. It's entirely possible that in 6-10 years college students will be reading about this as a case study in psychology books. It will be one of those little blurbs highlighted by a different color than the normal text.
