I hate them. I had no issue getting a Belk card over a year ago with a $500 limit. Bought a ring and used the card sparingly and kept it paid off for the most part. A year after getting the card, they closed the account (jerks) because according to them, I no longer met their credit worthiness. Mind you I never had a late payment, and the balance was paid off most of the time and my credit history was exactly the same as it was when I applied.
I accidentally applied with them through Direct Tire in September and was denied even though my credit scores are up and my CC balances are down. Seeing as they handle Walmart, Sam's JCP and a host of other retailers, I won't bother applying for any store cards. Their loss.
