I'm scared..

I've been doing some research and found the QVC "Qcard" seems to be easy to get.

Saw on a Database that they pull TU 95% of the time, and people with scores in the upper 500's (mines 626) getting approved.

So I pulled the trigger.

It says to call in the next 48 hours to "complete your application", or you will be "given notice" in 7-10 days.

We've all heard the 7-10 day message, but 48 hours is odd.

Anyone have any Exp with this?

Farm and Fleet $3,000 (AU) Paypal Extras MC $1,500
Barclay's Apple Visa $1,200 QVC Qcard $800
Amazon Store Card $600 Discover $500
Walmart MC $400 Victoria's Secret $350
Credit One $300 Fingerhut $200
TU Fico 626

Re: I'm scared..

Can't speak on the 48 hour thing. But it seems like they just want to verify some info. I think your odds are pretty good.

With the amount of INQs you undoubtedly have across all CRs, identity verification is going to be an issue at this point.   It sounds like that's the case here.   Definitely follow up and good luck on approval.  And go garden once you're approved!

Re: I'm scared..

Oy vey! I gotta ask OP...do you even shop on QVC??? If so great, I hope things work out. But if you're just credit chasing, it may be better to not be approved...but I'm not saying anything you don't already know.

Do you ever see yourself wanting to finance something more substantial? A House? Home improvement project? Car? Student loan? Business? If so, you are absolutely. killing any chances of approval (having to sweat out a QVC card approval should tell you something!). If you have no plans to finance anything of substance and are content chasing minor league/crappy cards, I guess keep apping away. But why tie your own hands when we live in a world of "you never know"?

Anyway I do wish you luck in your credit journey and hope one day you realize the importance of self-restraint in the credit game.

Re: I'm scared..

It's for verification. Give them the reference number you were given and they finish the process. I've had to do it with a few synchrony backed cards.

Starting Scores - EX 547 || EQ 541 || TU 538 - 01/21/2014
Current Scores - EX 691 || EQ 628??? || TU 695 - 08/04/2015
Goal Scores - 720 across the board
Current Utilization - 12% and going down

Re: I'm scared..

when apps ask you to call in that's usually "you are approved" CALL and verify yourself with them.

Re: I'm scared..

Well I finally got the nerve to call, yes the phone call was to verify my ID.

Rep went to process the application, I started to get a little frustrated because she spoke little English and made it hard to talk to her.

However my ears perked up when I heard "approved".

Don't know why they were reluctant to give it out...but my CL is....

$800!!! Smiley Very Happy

This will really help my UTL. I don't plan on charging it for maybe $50.

BTW, I know with commenity cards you have to charge something every year so it won't close, what about sync cards?

This will be my only store card. I'm going to keep at it until my ficos are in the upper 600's and try for a visa/mc branded card.
