Hey guys! I just wanted to share my experiences with Capital One's Executive Office, and how they've officially have kept me as a long-term cardholder. So to establish credit, I applied for the Journey Student Rewards Visa in February and was granted a $500 limit. I used the card responsibly and as a result, have been able to obtain much better cards (Amex, Discover, Chase, etc.), so I gradually stopped using it.
I recently read about success sending an email to the CEO of Capital One in order to get a CLI and whatnot. I kind of wanted the Quicksilver because it has a pretty decent cash back rate at places that won't take my Fidelity Amex or aren't covered by 5 percent categories. Therefore, I sent him a brief email stating I would like a CLI and a PC to the Quicksilver. Two days later, Yuri called me back and we discussed my requests. It was actually quite a pleasant conversation; he was very personable and kind throughout the entire process. I asked for a CLI to $5,000 and the PC, as I stated. He said he would send it to the underwriters for review and he would call back.
He called back tonight with great news: the CLI was granted on my new Quicksilver Visa Signature! The whole process was simple and I'm actually quite excited for the card to arrive in 7-10 business days. So even though Capital One gets some hate, I still think they've been really good to me, and they've earned themselves a loyal customer.
Congrats on the PC and CLI
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.
