So, I was approved for $2k online but went through the Chat system to get a higher limit. Rep kept telling me she couldnt tell me if it would be a new inquiry or not and told me I could just hit the CLI button on my online account. Told her it was a new account and thought that button wouldnt suffice and she said either she could put it in or I could hit the button.
Didnt sound right to me based on what other people experienced so I just left the chat and figured I would ask you guys..
Should I just try the Chat again or maybe just call?

As others above have said, call them it's easier. I have gotten some increases via chat but they have used scores from months before and they were not accurate. If I remember correctly, when you call they run a fresh report/score and get the most recent TU report. It is a soft pull also with most Synchrony accounts except, Carecredit....Carecredit is a hard pull every time.
