My phone just buzzed, look at the email and it's a Congratulations from Merrick Bank, due to your excellent account history, we have increased your credit limit to.....wait for it..........$ 700! A whole whopping $200 increase LOL . But it is coincidental that I called in last month asking about CLI and was told you can't request one, it is done automatically at the 6 month if you don't miss a payment, which i was late on a payment during the first 6 months( i didn't know any better at that time) so she said she would notate my account and the next time they review it, they will see the note that I called inquiring. So perhaps, calling in and asking for a CLI may trigger that area to review the account outside of whatever their normal schedule is? . Just sharing my experience.... As a side note, I"ve had the Merrick card for about 18 months or so and this is the first increase I've been given.

Congratulations on your credit limit increase! Thanks for sharing.
Congrats, I've had Merrick roughty about the same amount of time and started with a $300 limit and missed my 5th month payment. But I've been given limits about every 3-4 months from them. It's currently at $1200 and my oldest active credit card.

Congrats! Any step in the right direction is a good one.
My CL doubled from $600 to $1200 on the 7 month mark and hasn't budged since. But there's no AF, so I really have no reason to close it until I'm ready to prune some accounts. Maybe I'll close once it's been open for 2 years.
Congrats! Thanks for sharing.
