Well, after sitting back for the past year and a half with only a Bill Me Later application, I decided today was the day to go on my first ever mini application spree.
Here's my rough profile:
I have 2 past dues from Cap1 and HSBC (paid/settled) due to fall off my report in January 2014
Capital One Plat Opened 8/2012 $300cl (auto-CLI to $2000 in late November)
Bank of America Cash Rewards Opened 10/2012 $500cl (formerly a secured card
US Bank Platinum Opened 10/2012 $500 (formerly a secured card)
BML Opened in May 2013 $300 CL, recently approved for a $2850 purchase which is also my current CL with them (love this account!)
The Results from today:
New Accounts:
Chase Freedom auto approved $6000CL
Amex BCP auto approved $1000CL
BarclayCard Arrival w/ $89AF had to call the backdoor recon line, but approved for $600CL
CLI Requests from current accounts:
Bank of America Cash Rewards online CLI request approved $1600 (I had asked for $6000...no go)
US Bank Platinum called in for CLI, but the rep said I had to wait 7-10 days for an answer .Requested $6000
All in all I'm fairly satisfied, especially with the inital CL of $6000 from Chase! Wow...what a nice surprise. Sadly the other 2 new accounts were less than spectacular with their initial CLs..
I have no idea what my fico was at the beginning of the day, but I'm assuming in the 680 range. I just wish I could have gotten better initial CLs with AMEX and BarclayCard. But I'll work them up over the next 12 months while I'm in the garden.
I'd like to thank all the contributors on this forum for the great reviews and wonderful advice. It's been a long hard road to rebuild my credit..and I still have a long way to go!
Congrats
Thanks for the info, enjoy
congrats
nice haul! congrats and see you in the garden
That's a very impressive haul! have some of those cards on my radar.
Dat Freedom limit ..... dat utilization boost. And zero % balance transfers too... you've started 2014 in the best possible way. Congrats!
Congrats, OP! Those are 3 nice cards, all from great lenders. Welcome to Chase & AMEX family! (I don't have Barclays so i can't welcome ya there )
