After about 6 months of credit rebuilding, I decided to apply for the nRewards card with my bank NFCU. Got the 3-5 day message, but they came back an hour later with an approval for a $6,000k CL!!! I was TOO shocked because of how high my baddies are.
My only goodies on my credit are deferred student loans and Capital One secured card for $300 (6 months old)
Baddies:
- 2 evictions $11,200 from 2011 and $5700 from 2008 (both have judgements against them)
-5 small installmet loans ranging from 150 to 400 (all charged off)
-PAid charge off from capitol one in 2008- $1900
-Paid collection from Sprint 2012- $545
-Paid charge off citi bank $2800
TU Score was 578 and credit file started in 2009 @ 19.
I paid on time on my new capitol one. Used it frequently and always PIF before the statement cut. All great advice obtained from this forum!
Got a liitle excited and applied for the New York and Company card- Approved $250 and also the Navy federal LOC. I applied for $1000 and was approved.
So for now i'm going to chill on the apps. Pretty excited about this awesome second chance!
Congrats on the approvals and welcome to the forum! NFCU is great, aren't they?
They really are. I almost cried, lol. Now just need to work on clearing up some of the other bad stuff while nuturing my new credit.
Congrats! Time to join us in the garden big time. Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing!
Congrats! Nice limit to start at!
Congrats, that is a great limit to get while still rebuilding.
Call them and ask to have the LOC resubmitted for the full $15k... they won't pull credit again and they will counter if they can't do the full $15k... it's a waste to apply for the loc and not ask for the full amount with the hp!!
congrats on the credit card... AND with $6k credit card approval I would be surprised for the loc not to be approved higher!
More successfull calling or online messaging them? Sitting at work currently, lol

don't think it matters, so just online message them so you don't have to talk to anyone!
just say I was thinking about it, and was wondering if I can just go ahead and move my loc cl to the full $15k... thank you
Message sent...now to wait. While i'm waiting, has anyone had to use the LOC, and what for? I can't think of anytime I would use it but heard it was good to have.
