That is awesome! Congrats! CreditAddict's knowledge on the NFCU processes has helped me too. Great job.
Congrats!!!! NFCU is the best
CreditAddict, I opened a secured card with NFCU in September, and have always made payments before the monthly due date. Last week I applied and was approved for the Checking LOC at $1500 (was afraid to ask for more! Wish I had seen this post before hand!!!) And they approved me. I wanted to get your opinion on when I should apply for an unsecured card with them, or request them to transfer the secured to an unsecured. Because of the number of recent inquiries I've had, my Equifax is now at a 515. TU is at a 615.
Since I was denied for LOC, but have the $20k Nrewards card and an auto loan from August 2014 for $23K; should I reapply for LOC again? I froze my TU, which they pulled for LOC, since TU is in the high 500's. My EQ is in the 650-660 range and has no negs. My Navy utilization ratio on Visa is 50%. Do you think I still have a chance with Navcheck? Should I wait until I pay down my Visa?
