New Member...Recent Application Experience.

I have been lurking on the forum for quite awhile but this is my first post in the credit card section.  This forum has been infinitely helpful to me and I figured I'd share some of my experience.  I had some bad credit from my years as an undergraduate and all of those items just fell off last year so I was looking to get my scores back up and do things correctly this time.  I used this site and throughout this year I have gotten approved for Cap1 Quicksilver, Amex BCE, Barclays Arrival, and Bankamericard 1-2-3 rewards card!  In addition to that, I was just able to get my first new car loan in my name with a 1.9% interest rate.  I really have this forum to thank for all of the helpful information and threads.

I am glad to have my credit back on track before I finish my PhD program in May and start looking for a home in 2-3 years.  Thanks to everyone here again, I just wanted to share my experience and express my appreciation for the site.  If anyone has questions about my stats or anything else feel free to ask.  I hope to be around the forums as a poster for the long haul!

Cards: AMEX BCE-$2K, BOA 1-2-3-$2K, Barclays Arrival-$4K, Discover IT-$4K. Gardening until at least July 2014!

Congrats you have done well

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

The 1.9% APR I received through Honda Financial's end of the year promotional rate.  I was super stoked to get such a great rate.

+1. Last time I had an auto loan I remembered the rate being about 10.2% APR for 48 months. Good thing I paid it off early to avoid paying all that interest Smiley Very Happy
