Nordstrom Visa Sig upgrade and surprise auto CLI!

Thank you, Pizza, for the heads-up about the new, ‘laxer’ standards surrounding the upgrade to Visa Signature! I was declined not long ago because my EX scores are just south of 700, which was the minimum needed at the time. I called a few weeks ago, requesting once again to have my account reviewed for the upgrade, and I was immediately approved! They tried to get me a CLI at the same time, from my then $8K SL, but was declined.  It was fine with me because $8K was really more than enough. 

But, after logging in to my account today, I noticed an auto CLI from $8K to $12K! I was SO not expecting this, especially after the letter I received that resulted from my initial CLI denial that basically indicated they determined I had enough of a CL based upon my spending habits with Nordstrom. Honestly, it was the truth, given that I don’t use it very much, but hey, I will take the extra $4K! Thank you TD Bank and my fellow My Ficoer’s for once again being such a great source of credit knowledge and information!  As a data point, I was approved for this card towards the end of 2015, when my scores were barely above 600.  They gave me a SL of $1500 with my initial approval. This card has grown very well over the last 15 months!

Thanks so much! I just got it in the mail today, and I have to just say how impressed I’ve been with TD Bank/Nordstrom service. I called on Friday to check with customer service as to when I might be receiving my card (it had been more than 2 weeks at that point, since being approved for the upgrade), only to be told that for some reason the card was never actually issued. The gentleman apologize profusely, and offered to overnight it to me. It went out Saturday morning, and arrived before noon today.  They’ve treated me very well as a customer, and I’m happy to continue to grow my relationship with them! Now if only I could get beyond $1K CL on my Target card!  Oh, a girl can dream!

Thank you, AJC!!! Yeah, I've been very pleased with them so far, and that extra CLI doesn't hurt my opinion of them, either!   Just in time for their Triple Points week!!  Coincidence?! Probably not LOL!

Congrats!!! I wonder what caused them to relax the requirements to upgrade this card.
