Re: Express Preapproval (Shopping Cart Trick)

Has anyone figured out a resolution to getting nothing after you fill the application from the pop up screen? I have had the same issue some others have mentioned where I get the pop up, hit submit, then nothing happens and there is no record of applying.  I really want the card, but don't want a hard pull. Any help would be great.

Re: Express Preapproval (Shopping Cart Trick)

I'm using Google Chrome. I just tried this process for J Crew and got approved right away. I think it might be the Express site. I want both because I actually shop at each location. I shop at express more so I really wanted that one.

Re: Express Preapproval (Shopping Cart Trick)

I had the same issue.  I tried Firefox, IE, Google, etc.  I ended up clearing all cookies and cache, then went to the Express site and signed up for Express Rewards.  Once I did that, I got the pop-up and accepted.  It approved me right away.  I can't tell you how many times I have cleared the cookies and cache only to have the pop up do nothing once I accepted, but yet, the "No Thanks" button worked just fine each time.  My advice would be to try clearing the cookies and cache with CC Cleaner (free download), register for Express Rewards and see what happens.  Also, make sure your info matches your CR exactly.  They pull EQ for Express.

Good Luck

Re: Express Preapproval (Shopping Cart Trick)

I got VS for $500 on 11/07/2013.  It was 11/11/2013 before I got a 2nd pop-up which was Ann Taylor for $250.  It took until 12/03/2013 before I was able to get the Express pop-up to work.

YAY ME!!!

As I was typing the previous post, I received an alert that I had a +7 point bump.  I know that's not a lot, however, on 01/01/2014 I received a +17 point bump.
