Hi, everyone,
Since everyone seems to be apping these days, I thought I'd add my own story to the mix.
I have a long history of good credit management. Over the past few years, I hadn't paid much attention to my cc portfolio; I had closed down all accounts I was no longer using and was left with two cards, which I'd always PIF with very low utilization. I hadn't paid attention to my credit score.
In October, I decided to research cards to revamp my portfolio and emphasize cash back. I applied and received these cards over the past month:
AARP Chase card - my dining card
Amex BCP - my grocery card
Amex Hilton hhonors - PC from Delta Skymiles Platinum
BofA BBR - for 100+% back on a recurring charge
BofA Cash Rewards - gas card and I get 10% more CB for being a customer
BofA Travel Rewards - for no-fee and no FTF travel
Chase Freedom
Citi DC - everything else card
Discover IT
US Bank Cash+ - 5% back on cell phone and fast food
In addition to these cards, I've also been using rebate portals for double and triple dipping. I really like the additional cash back offers from Amex and BofA. I'm also using idine. Any other tips for maxing cash back? I'm aiming for 5% of my cc spend.
My FICO took a slight hit, but is recovering. I only had 4 HPs,
and the increased CLs and the relatively lower utilization ratio have let it bounce back.
I'm using the anMoney app as a virtual check book to record all my transactions.
Thanks to everyone for posting deals on this forum. And congrats to everyone on their recent app successes.
