Recently went on a mini spree to get some new cards that I plan to use and try out, I plan on cancelling my cap one cards and merrick cards. Got approved for the following
Amex everyday preffered - 7k limit, instant approval, wanted to take advantage of the point system plus I got a year of amazon prime with it
Discover IT - 3500 limit, instant approval, got it just to have an account with Discover
Chase Southwest airlines - 5k limit got it for the 50k rewards points
The cards above I apped for and instantly approved for last week, today I apped for the Amex gold card and got instantly approved, I plan on using this card for a year to see if I can take advantage of the points, also the premium road side assistance seems like great deal, I own 4 cars so it should be good to have 
Never had a charge card before but I plan on using it more to avoid carrying a balance, Not happy about adding so many annual fees though :/
My scores from walmart/merrick and barclays all are about 740 across the board FICO
