Should I expect a Barclays CLI? (UPDATE)

My 6th statement for my Arrival cut yesterday, and I logged in this morning....but no CLI yet. It looks like they last soft pulled me on Christmas Eve. My limit is $4k and I was hoping I would get a bump to $5k.

I had heavy spending on it the first 3 or 4 months and have spent the past few months paying the balance down (0% promo and I heard Barclays likes balances reporting). Current statement cut with a balance of $52.

I had one other app back in September, for my Hyatt card. So that's a total of 3 inquiries for 2013.

For those of you who got increases at the 6month point, how soon after your 6th statement cut did you get one? I'm wondering if it's just not going to happen for me... Smiley Sad

UPDATE: Well, I decided to go for a HP.   3 HPs per year on 1 report isn't so bad, right?  They pulled TU, as expected.  I asked for a $3k increase and they gave me $1500, which I was pleased with.  So now it's at $5500!

My Cap1 card is my last card due for a CLI this month but I'm not expecting anything from that, maybe another $500 if I'm lucky  Smiley Very Happy.  After that, back to my garden for another 6 months!  It's so nice to see the benefits of gardening.

TU: 793 (6/13/17) | EQ: 787 (7/17/17) | EX: 788 (6/15/18)

Cap1 Quicksilver, $4,750 (4/2012); Discover IT, $40,000 (10/2012); Chase Amazon Rewards, $14,600 (10/2012); AMEX Hilton HHonors, $15,000 (11/2012); AMEX Blue Cash Everyday, $15,000 (01/2013); Barclaycard Arrival+, $10,000 (07/2013); Citi Home Depot $8,000 (06/2018)

Re: Should I expect a Barclays CLI?

My increase came right on the 6th statement. Literally, on the downloadable PDF statement it mentioned it in the upper right corner.

An item to keep in mind, while it seems some folks receive a CLI after the 6-month mark, it's a YEMV situation.  Every account is different and subject to different AR criteria.  Just keep using the card as your normally do.

Re: Should I expect a Barclays CLI?

Good luck

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

+1

I just received mine at the 6th statement mark, but I've read others are a month or two later.  There is no concrete formula for how CCCs operate. I've been with Chase for 4 yrs and never had an auto CLI and only receive a measly $500 when I initiated request, despite a perfect record with them.

Now that you've paid down your balance, be a little patient. Good luck!

If it's been this long, and no auto-CLI, then you can try the HP route.  As long as your CRs are healthy and have a good history on your account, then I'm assuing they can CLI.

Re: Should I expect a Barclays CLI?

I never recieved an auto CLI after 6mo with my Barclaycard Rewards. If it hasn't happened with you, probably won't. Try the CLI button, straight forward and I was instantly approved for a $500 increase ($500 original CL).

FICOs: TU 775 | EQ 784 | EX 773
Amex BCE $15,000 | Discover IT $11,600 | Chase Freedom $7,000 (Visa Sig) | Citi DoubleCash $6,000 (WEMC) | Chase AARP $6,000 | Barclaycard CashForward $4,000 | Barclaycard Rewards $2,000 | Capital One Quicksilver $1,750

Was that a hard pull though?
