Family member went for a stroll through the offers after paying all his cc bills online...
Citi offered him a SP increase... Got an additional 1K to bring it to 4K on DC (was hoping for over 5K total but not worth the HP yet)
Went and visited Amex.... Went from 9K to 12K... (Feel we left some on the table but plan on stopping at 15k anyhow)
Meandered over to BOA... No SP offer.. and no auto increases... (expected but decided not to take a hit)
Score was 840 on Citi's site before the stroll...
Thought that was pretty good for an evenings nightcap
First 5 digit CL (12K) as well =)

Congratulations to him!
Keep both your credit and your body in top shape!
Congrats
im still in the garden.. so i "encouraged" him to go look for some soft pull goodness.... (and live vicariously through his successes)
It paid off =)
Roughly 3 years ago.. he only had one card which hes had for over 8 years...So score was decent but still a thin report..
the short term goal is to get all cards to be at least 5k or over.. starting with the DC
The amex is going to stop at 15k.. its more than enough for his income and needs.. Also no desire to trigger the Irs form from AMEX
So: CU is 6k
BCE is 12K
DC is 4K
BBR is 3K
So not a bad lineup all and all... CU gave him an Auto CLI and upgraded from their classic to a plat after SDing the card for a few months not too long ago.
Also since his reports still mention the lack of installment loan.. going for a secured share "yuppie foodstamp" loan in the near future....
