It's Target! Who knows! LOL!

I'm not sure there's enough data points out there yet with the new and improved, very generous TD Bank.

But I was doing some research today and it doesn't seem like there are many benefits to having a Target MC. You get the same 5% discount at Target but it doesn't look like there's anything for purchases outside of Target.

Believe it or not I think it's an idea card for international travel.  There's no FTF and it's a true chip & pin card so you can use it anywhere that accepts cards in Europe.

Oh ok. I don't travel internationally. Too many kids! Smiley Very Happy

Target redcard has been good to me since I joined in 2014. They have automatically given me 3 CLI over that period.  SL was $1100 now at $3400.

$1100 > $2200 >$2800 > $3400….waiting on the next one. LOL

I notice that each time they gave me an increased they soft pulled, and also I was carring a balance on average below 20% of CL.

The last two increases I've gotten, I was over 85% utilization.

From $800 to $1300 then $1300 to $2000.

Approved with a SL of $2500

Awesome!  Congratulations.  I burned Target back in 2008. :-( I really liked shopping at Target too and they were generous with CLI. Is Target forgiving?

Re: Target Red Card

Yes they are. I burned them in 2009 and was approved in May for their store card after the CO came off my report. It started at 300 but went to 700 after 6 months so I'm hoping to get another CLI soon especially once I make a big payment next month.

Re: Target Red Card

Why do i torture myself reading these threads?  My RedCard is over 9 years old and my CL is still $200. The only reason I dont close it is because its one of the oldest cards in my deck

Re: Target Red Card

I had the Red Card for 13 years with a $200 limit. Called and complained about never getting an CLI around July 2016. No change till Nov 2017 to $500. I always PIF. Funny thing is the day I bought a Xbox One increased limit to $800. Waiting on another CLI soon.

Re: Target Red Card

Target Mastercard has been closed to new applications/conversions for many, many years now. Pretty sure it's only mantained for current cardholders.
