Congratulations on your CLI.
We opened our Target card at the same time and we're still stuck at 200. We use it very frequently and have to make three to four payments a month because of our ridiculous limit. Hopefully TD Bank won't be as stingy.
All our other accounts are between 800-11000. 200 is just about useless.
I've been stuck at $1000 for three years. Oh, well. I don't really need to purchase anything for more than $1000 at Target and if I ever did I have other credit cards to use. Target would just have to pay for the rewards (which is what they are trying to avoid by issuing the Redcard, so too bad for them.)
Congratulations! I've also been stuck at $200 since I opened my account 2 years ago. I always pay my balance in full, sometimes more than once a month since I shop at Target a lot. I have called them and every once in a while I send a message about a CLI, even though I know I'm wasting my time. If not for the 5% discount, I'd close the card. (sigh).
Ok I noticed something strange.
It seems that i got a CLI to $700 in December then another one in January to $900.
I checked my credit report (that I pull every month. In Dec my CL was $700 on this card (from $300)
Then in January (end of january) when I pulled my report, my CL was $900.
So 2 cli in 2 months it seems like.
WOW you are lucky. I have been stuck at $200 for almost 3 years. I have no baddies AT ALL and multiple 5 digit lines. This is ridiculous TARGET!!!!! I HATE YOU but your 5% feels so good. lol
Just got a letter in the mail telling me my Red Card just got better. Increased from $200 to $700. Totally shocked. Usually PIF, but didn't think they did cli's.
