Thank you fico family/walmart card

Just applied for the walmart card and got the 7-10 day wait notice.  Called the backdoor number and got approved for $600--didn't really understand what the csr was saying--she said I had applied for the discover version and asked if I wanted to proceed with that or apply for the store card--I thought when you applied you were considered for the discover first then store card.  Asked if I could get limit raised and she advised me to wait 2 or 3 billing periods but was OK with asking sooner?  Just wanted to say thanks for all the great information you provided on this card--wanted this card for trans score each month!

Congrats on your new card! You did far better than me...my initial approved amt. for the store card was for a measly $150.00.

(Yes, you read that right.)

This was last September. Thankfully, someone replied on my announcement thread, and advised that I call the Walmart credit analyst # and request a higher limit, right, away, without waiting 3 months. I did, and it was immediately raised to $1,500.00. On Jan. 1, I called and asked for the limit to be raised to what it is now, $6,500.00.

I just wanted to put this out there, that if you're at all dissatisfied with what you get from Walmart initially, that you can call them up and try to cadge more out of them WITHOUT having to take  another hard pull.
