Two Walmart/JCP CLIs in 2 weeks!

Ok, I feel like a big boy now. My Walmart and JCP cards have each received 2 CLIs in 2 weeks. Before all of this, they would constantly decline me. I pretty much knew I was going to be shot down if I requested a CLI.  Last month I started working on cleaning up my credit reports.  Mainly TU. I had 4 included in bankruptcty (IIB) accounts that were due to be deleted. I also have two state tax liens that I was able to have deleted. After I saw those removed from my report, I pulled my score and found that it went from 668-676. Not a huge jump but... the "house cleaning" worked!  I tried the Lov buttons and received CLIs on both cards.  Walmart went from $1400. to $2200. and JCP went from $1350. to $1850.

I read some posts this weekend about people getting a CLIs by using the chat feature. I've never tried that. So I signed on a little while ago and gave it a shot.  I couldn't bring myself too ask for a high limit beause I didn't know if they would counter with a smaller amount or just say no. I tried Walmart first.  Asked for $3000. and was approved.  Then over to JCP.  At first he suggested that I try the Luv Button. I did that and was declided. He asked how much I was looking for. I told him $2500.  Approved! 

it's nice to finally get those cards away from the low limits that they were stuck at last year!

I don't use it much but I'm wondering what the cash advance limit has gone up to? I don't see that online. I believe it's only listed on the statement.

How did you get a tax lien taken off your report

I disputed them along with the other accounts that had been on my report for a long time and were due to fall off. They were paid liens.
